Look at the gay boy sitting next to you,
the one who you kick, physically torture and verbally abuse.

Look at his eyes that were once vibrant with life,
and keep in mind that you and your friend's were the one who stole his light.

You called him a sin  and condemned him to hell,
every day he walked through the school doors, he was greeted with your intolerant yells.

With your injustice , you treated him as terribly as you pleased,
and when you were through with your torment, you treated him like some sort of disease.

Was religion your actual excuse to act like an ass,
or was there something that you refused to see past?

Because that gay boy who sits next you daily in class,
is the one who knows your present, future and past.

He knows where bullies come from, so don't hide fully behind Christianity.
Because when you go home, you yourself are showered with profanities.

The same fist you used to beat the blue eyed boy,
is the same fist that your father uses to wring around your neck like a toy.

And the same blue eyed boy whose lost his light,
he falls to his knees and prays every night.

He falls to his knees and cries like a baby,
however, it's hardly for the abuse that you put him through daily.

He cries because he can read his tormentors like an open book,
and despite the fact that he's tortured by you, he knows you all share the same broken look.

SO before he goes to bed, he prays for you,
because he knows that you're suffering too...

And when he no longer flinches after you've beaten him to a pulp,
to garner your desired reaction, you decide to have your way with him like some sick fuck.

You and your friends laugh and leave him there,
of the crime you've just committed you are unaware.

That gay boy who used to sit next to you is in the hospital,
his chances of living are nearly impossible.

That gay boy who sat beside you, you  sent him home too soon
but keep in mind that this whole time, he was still praying for you.

Because he knew your cruel actions are done on a whim,
because the pain you suffer at home was on par with his.

So as the pain and agony slowly begin to consume him,
with his dying breath, he whispers, “Father, forgive them.”

This was inspired by a few things, firstly, I built it off of two bible verses:

1) Luke 23-33-35

When they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. 34But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves. 35And the people stood by, looking on. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One."

  1. Matthew 5:38-39

  2. 38"You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.'39"But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

It's hard to be gay, and Christian. Though sometimes it's harder to be Christian than it is to be Gay (or so i've heard), or sometimes it's harder to be Gay than it is to be Christian (or so i've heard). I just combined both of them. This isn't just about Christianity or LGBT, it's also about bullying. Bullying starts somewhere, and unfortunately, sometimes at the home. A broken family usually produces broken children who can't think for themselves.

Never underestimate the power of forgiveness or God's love, because both work through us. I think God works through each of us individually. Sometimes we suffer because of who or what we are, but I feel like he's holding our hand every step of the way.

To those of you who are gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or pansexual and/or Christian, kudos to you, because I know it's not easy. The discrimination is real for both Christians and LGBT, and unfortunately, it's not going away any time soon.

The saints died because they were “different”, they became martyrs. Shoot, Jesus died because he was “different”, but He rose again. But people don't rise from the dead anymore, they're souls go to heaven, and they work through us. I hope you enjoyed this, and God bless.

This is why I think gay couples should kick their children out if they're Christian. To show Christians how gay people feel.

Don't you think that's a little unethical? I mean, yes, some Christian parents have proven to be questionable in their faith, but that is no way to act! I should know. MY faith in God is in this condition.

I could care less if it's unethical. After my cousin came out to his family, I hate all Christians, good or bad.

Well, I can understand that. After I watched a Zero Hour episode depicting 9/11, I began to hate Muslims--ALL of them.  I even wanted to wipe the entire Muslim population off of the map! But I learned to let go when I realized how stupid that was.

And if that is the case, then you have a rather warped sense of morality. But I am not saying that I am perfect, because I am not the best Christian on my street. If you despise all Christians, despite knowing whether or not your behavior is ethical, then you are just as much of a bigot as the thugs in this poem. That is what I am saying.

Not all Christians are this bad... I'm Christian and I'm not that bad. I admit some Christians can be a bit over religious and mean, but you don't have to hate on the religion just because of some people who choose to be jerks. Either way, some of those people just say it because their jerks and don't even go to church often or have read the Bible...

I disagree. Because not all Christians are like this, and Christians who treat others like dirt aren't exactly Christians.
